Baseball is for everyone.

New York Groove, est. 2024
The New York Groove is the brainchild of two guys: Jonny Colón (right) and Eric Goldfischer (left). Jonny, a founding member of the Carolina Sandlot Collective, met Eric through Casual Baseball Club (CBC), an open baseball meetup for New Yorkers who care about playing baseball but don't [generally] want to be dicks about it. Eric and Jonny recruited a group of CBC players to form the Groove in fall 2023, and the rest is history.
Since our first game in March 2024, we've played all over New York City, as well as in upstate New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. One of these days we might even play in Queens!
The Groove Philosophy
We are open to people of all genders, backgrounds, and walks of life.
We play nine innings with wood bats and MLB rules (with light modifications) on regulation-size fields.
We're a home for everyone from former college players to people who woke up one day at 25 and realized they could finally throw a ball on a straight line (although not very far) and wanted to do that more often.
